From before she could remember Sam has loved animals small and great, just as she has always loved being creative. Thus life has led her to find enjoyment in recreating our beloved creatures with all their character intact on a piece of paper or canvas. Sam doesn't like to keep her Art to herself, having them gathering dust at home. Art is for sharing, which is why she sells her creations and offers Pet Portraits. 

 

Sam has worked with oils briefly in the past, receiving her first taste of being a professional artist. Her mentor was Wolfgang (Bill) Sass, a German-Australian artist who created Australian landscape painting's. After getting married Sam moved to Sydney, had kids and pursued other interests before one picking up her graphite pencil once again. Sam learned the art of graphite drawing from artists like Kirsty Partridge before she joined Jason Morgan's Patron channel and learnt Pastel.

 

Sam often frames her work using Profile Australia frames, which are Australian made and very sturdy. They will last for many years to come.
